I had so much fun with Christine and Rob, and especially their super cute and very well trained puppy Q, yep that's it just Q. He stood by us for most of the portrait session and was a very good boy!!! Christine and Rob are both Texas Tech Red Raiders, but I won't hold that against them ; )

How could you not love that sweet puppy face?!?!?

We had a great time running around the historic section of Grapevine!! I can't wait until the big day in May!!

The Buchs and the Buchtas

I have two really great friends Kimberly and Angie and they have really great families!!! We set up portrait sessions for both families and it just so happened that we did the Buchs one day and the Buchtas the very next day!! It was really great to see them both, it had been too long!!!!!

Isabella's 3rd Birthday!!

I had a great time at Isabella's 3rd Birthday Party!!! I had the privilege of photographing her 2nd birthday last March, so when I was asked to shoot her birthday again this year I jumped on it!! She has really come out her shy shell from last year and wanted to show me all of her cool toys and introduce me to all of her friends. We had a blast as princesses!!

Yes I know it has been a while, but I am here now and ready to blog away!!

So here is what has happened since we last spoke:
I went to Vegas for WPPI, a HUGE photo conference!!!!
Brad got sent half way around the world for work in mid March.....that is pretty poopie cause he won't be back until sometime in May (hopefully)
Had TONS of portrait sessions!!!
Had a blast at some great weddings to kick start the busy season!!
And best of all.....Lost 5% of my body fat at Mansfield Adventure Boot Camp!!! Yes I am going again this month, so I will keep you posted on my progress for this time around!!

So I was super proud of myself yesterday cause I shaved off a minute and a half off of my mile time!!! For those of you who have missed a couple blogs I am in Mansfield Adventure Boot Camp to work off some of the chub....Anyhow, I was Crazy Excited!!! I am soooo not gonna tell you what my times were cause it was still over 10 minutes, but maybe next time it will be really close to 10 if not under at the rate I am going!! YAY!!!!!

Jennifer & Richard

I am so excited for Jen and Richard!! Jen and I became instant friends back in January 2002 when we were both enrolled in our very first scuba diving class at UTA, where she also met this cute boy named Richard. So after dating for 6 years they finally decided to tie the knot!! I could not find a more perfect couple!! They have very similar interests, but are both great at keeping their individuality in thier relationship. Jen I love you and I am so happy that you finally married the man of your dreams!!!

Check out the slideshow!! The ceremony was at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church and the reception was held at Shady Valley Country Club, both in Arlington.

Jen has got to be one of the single most gorgeous brides I have ever had the honor to photograph.......well I may be biased, but you can't deny she's a hottie with stunning eyes!!

We definately had a blast at the Dallas Arboretum!!

New Logo!!!!!

YAY!!! After lots of changing and decision making and me being way picky, my new logo is finally here!!! I have to give mad props to Ross and Jo at Flosites!! They worked so hard and were so patient with me while I was a huge pain in the booty!! They really did a great Job on the new logo!!!! I can't wait to post it everywhere!! And the next thin they are workin on for me is my NEW BLOG!!! YAY no more generic blogger!! So look for that soon, and we all know I love mew things so that will spur me on to post more ; ) Anyhow, take a look and let me know what you think!!!!

Angela and Corey are sooo much fun!! I laugh all the time when I am with them!!! I am so glad I got to know them and had the honor of photographing their wedding! It was a very cute ceremony at Alexander Mansion in Garland. One day Corey and Angela are gonna come out and go bowling with Brad and I......I am excited to hang out, but not excited for Corey to smoke us all!! I seriously need bumpers when I play and he has scored a 300 before!!!!!

BOOT CAMP!!!!

Yeah, so I am a little crazy I think.....no comments on that please ; )

I enrolled in Boot Camp last week!! No not military boot camp.....it's more like fat camp : P
I am definitely workin my booty off!! But I think my legs are going to DIE!! The first day was Tuesday when we did squats and lunges and more squats and more lunges, then on Wednesday we had our fitness test where we had to run a mile for time and do sit-ups and push-ups until we couldn't do them anymore!! I was actually surprised at how many push-ups I busted out with!! But anyway the really fun part is that it is everyday from 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM. I didn't even know what 5:30 AM looked like!!!
Well if anyone is interested in joining me look it up at Metroplex Adventure Boot Camp our trainer Sam really is great! He is pushy without being pushy.....so maybe I will win the weight bet after all!!

Super Cute Kiddos!!!

This is Payton, my super cute borrowed baby!! Yes, that does sound weird, but when your best friend has this sweet baby girl you would want to call her your own too!! What a great excuse to hang out with Jennifer all day!! Payton is the newest addition to my extended family, she was born in August and looks so much like her daddy it is unbelievable!! But every time I see her I just want to squeeze her!!!!

Now for a little bigger baby. This is Sophie, she just turned one! Sophie will be a year in the life of kiddo, so you will be seeing much more of her throughout the year!! I had so much fun playing with Sophie!! She is just about the easiest baby in the world to photograph, I only shot for about 45 minutes and came away with over 500 images to edit!!!! That is crazy!! But how could I resist this sweet face!!!!

Of course I had to throw in one of Sophie's puppy, Tristan!! She was just too pretty not to!!

Hi Mom!!

I am sure Mom and Dad would love it if this tiny toy was a lawnmower cause Sophie drives it all over the yard!!

Bye Sophie!! I'll see you in a couple months!!

And on to some even bigger kiddos, Elliot and Chelsea!! Elliot was having so much fun running around the park it was quite a workout chasing him down to take a picture every now and then. But not Chelsea, she definitely had fun in front of the camera. Watch out Dad, you might want to find the perfect bat to chase the boys away, cause they will be knockin on your door all too soon!!

I had so much fun with all my kiddos this past month, look for more next month!!

Yes I realize the last time I blogged was November 12th, and yes I realize that I promised that I would get better, so yes I realize that I broke my promise.....what can I say, I am not the best blogger in the world!!! So I hope all of you once loyal readers will come back and hang out with me again!!
I am in the process of having a new logo, blog, and splash page built so hopefully sometime soon you will see a whole new me!!!
Speaking of whole new me, I have lots of friends on my back to do a 101 in 1001. I am workin on my list 'o things I wanna do.....and admit to, that is the hardest part!! So here's me telling you a big one.....I want to lose 55 lbs before the end of 2008, and preferably before June, I am in a bet with some friends to see who can lose the most, kinda like our own Biggest Loser!! So now that I have told the whole world....or what's left of my loyal subjects ; ) I have more peeps to hold me accountable!!! YAY!! I am on my way though cause I already lost 5lbs!! No I will Not be posting my "before" picture where I found out just how much my mirrors have been lying to me!! But I will post an after picture!! So hold me accountable peeps!!!

Back Again.....Already?!??!

I had a crazy busy portrait weekend in October 3 portraits and a wedding in one weekend!!! Oh the editing!! It was very fun because all my couples and brides were GREAT!! But because of the craziness I have decided I am not going to work on Sundays at all in 2008.....And I am very sure Brad will hold me to that ; )

Here are my faves from the 3 portrait sessions

Heather and Cody.....ok seriously cute!! We played in the studio for a while and then had some fun in the square just outside the building. They really are a cute couple and really know how to get the other to laugh and play.

But really I had a Corey in the morning and a Cody in the afternoon!?! They were just trying to mess me up!!!

Angela and Corey were WAY too awake at 8am on Sunday!!!! Corey was cracking me up so much about the bugs on the trees and telling me all about how for their honeymoon they are going to LA to get tattooed by Kat Von D from LA Ink....I'm thinkin that will call for a kick bootie portrait session when they get back!! Stay tuned for more Angela and Corey in January for their wedding!!

Stephanie and I traveled around the SMU campus and the Highland Park United Methodist Church. We had a lot of fun walking around an empty campus....it was a Saturday morning and the football game was a away game ; ) I am so excited for her and Jon's wedding in December!!

Allison and Jeff got married at the Hotel Crescent Court and it was such a perfectly beautiful day!! There was just enough wind to give us a comfortable breeze in the courtyard. And then then next morning they went on a cruise around the Caribbean!!

The Benton Ranch where Kelly and Jim had their wedding was so pretty and peaceful!! We had a little bit of rain early on but then got to sneak out and play in the sun for just a couple minutes during the reception. Kelly and Jim are my favorite NASCAR fans!! Even though Jim likes Matt Kenseth : p

Yes I know I have been bad about the blogging lately.....but I have CRAZY busy!!!!!!!! I have been out of town for what feels like every weekend!!! I am actually out of town right now, but I am working too, wow big shocker......

Elizabeth and Todd......where do I begin?!?! They are an AMAZING couple!! They are both super fun and sweet, and they have crazy fun family and friends. But I think the thing that really struck me about Elizabeth and Todd is how much they really love each other. During their last dance they could hardly contain themselves....Elizabeth was glowing and had such great facial expressions that even when she saw the pics she told me how surprised she was to see her own excitement. They are definitely the kind of couple that when you see them together you KNOW they are going to be together for the rest of their lives!!

Hurricanes are Poopie!!!

Ok so the curse of Bonaire continues.....for all those that do not know what/where Bonaire is it is one of the dutch Antilles islands off the coast of Venezuela, right beside Aruba and Curacao, it is my overall favorite place to dive.......and it hates me. I thought the 3rd time would be the charm.....I was super wrong. 1st trip to Bonaire Jan '04......Underwater camera flooded, weightbelt gone, blood everywhere when I got slammed into lava rocks by a wave (3rd dive of the trip). 2nd trip to Bonaire Aug/Sept '06 almost got bitten by a shark the day after Steve Irwin died from a stingray.....yes I know this one was my fault but still. 3rd trip Aug '07 2 days delay thanks to the Hurricane (that is a really long story in itself that I will spare you) dive computer all jacked up before we even go on the 1st dive (for those of you who know about dive computers, it was telling me I was at 4ft and had been there for 1.5hours while still on the beach) 2nd dive- underwater strobe died (no strobe=bad pics!!) 3rd dive strobe is for sure dead (after an expensive battery change) and now my UW camera won't advance!! 5th dive - regulator busted just before I got in the water. So all in all this is the single most expensive dive trip in history!!!!!!!!! But we did get to see baby sea turtles hatch and find their way to the big ol' blue!!! I took Kelly & Jim to Celestial Park in Addison to shoot their engagement portraits and we had SOOO much fun!! Kelly and Jim are so playful and Jim really has a great smile.....we all know how hard it can be to get the groom (or boyfriend, or Dad, or brother, or any person of the male persuasion) to smile a REAL smile, and Jim is awesome at it!! Kelly definitely found a good one! AND as if that isn't good enough already they are HUGE NASCAR FANS!!!!! YAY!! Only 2 months til NASCAR is back in Texas!! Check out a few of my faves!

Holly and Kevin are sooo cute!! Holly has awesome facial expressions and everyone could see how much they really love each other and enjoy being a couple. They got hitched at the First Baptist Church in Downtown Dallas and had the reception at City Club in Dallas. Everyone in both families was so sweet and fun especially Holly's super cute niece and nephew!! AND Kevin sang to Holly, he was REALLY good and it was so romantic!!! But I have been BUSY!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW Seven weddings in the last month has really put me behind on the blog sorry. So here's me playing catch-up!!

Laura and Walter are getting married?!?!?! Now I am really the only one of my friends not married or engaged!!!! But I am happy for them anyways ; ) We took a tour of Ft Worth and then Played in the Pool.....I LOVE underwater photography!!!

My Best Friend Jennifer is about to bust any day now with her little girl (finally No More Boys!!!) and I drove out to Boyd to take some maternity and fun family portraits....too bad every time I bring my camera out there the youngest son Rustyn ALWAYS manages to hurt himself....this time he flipped over on his four-wheeler!!!!!

Lizzy and David had some really great touches to their wedding getaway, a great friend reading a Native American legend on Love and then they and all their guests released butterflies. It was a really touching moment. And....Wow!! I seriously have not seen a crowd dance as much as Lizzy & David's family and friends!!!! It was really cool when the dance team that she coached showed up and DANCED!!! And man did they get the crowd going. Not to mention David's son who kept attracting a huge circle of guests around him every time he stepped out on the floor....It was too cute!!

Ashley & Jonathan were too cute on Saturday!! They were super fun and everyone could really tell they are very much in love!! I only found one thing wrong......they are Aggies.....but great people despite their faults ; ) Just kidding, we all know Aggie weddings are always gorgeous. I hate to admit it, but crimson looks great on just about everyone!!!! And take a good look at the flowers, Jonathan's Dad did them all!!!!! AND the super creative and absolutely stunning floral necklaces that all the bridesmaids wore. Great job David!!!!

Studio Opening

YAY!!! The studio opening is done!! It was very fun...but I am excited to actually sit back and enjoy the studio now : )

So I know I just started my blog and already I have people on my back that I have not been posting more....cough *jessica* cough.....So here's more : )

So here is a fun picture of Amy and I in front of our building.

No we are not sisters.....Really. But we are cousins who are lucky enough to have each other to share a studio and super fun times with.

Amy and I have been working our butts off trying to get everything ready for the big studio grand opening (tomorrow 11-2 and 6-9). I do not want to have to paint another super high wall for a LONG time!! I really do not know how people do that everyday, I was sweating bullets about falling off the ladder.....yes I do realize I am a sissy, thanks. But I had some super sweet volunteers that totally saved us MANY hours, AND all of them worked for lunches and hugs. THANK YOU!!!!! to Dad, Brad, and of course my long lost Jen ; ) I love you all!!

So I finally have a blog!! I am very excited to keep everyone updated on what is going on with my business and my life. This year has brought so many changes....and we are only at the halfway point! My wonderful cousin and studio partner Amy Herfurth moved into our new studio on April 1st. It is so great! We have 5 times the space and so many more cool options for portraits. We will be having a grand opening Friday June 15th from 11-2 and 6-9....hopefully we will have the walls painted by then : )
